WHAT IS THE DAY PROGRAM?
The Day Program runs daily from 9AM-3PM, Monday to Friday, with the new After School Program available Monday to Friday 3PM-7PM. The Day Program focuses on curating specialized daytime activities, while learning with support. The objective of the Day Program is to provide care for a wide range of special needs, and cultivate a balanced and safe space while teaching independence, basic life skills, and communication skills. We believe in quality time well-spent at our day program, so that individuals can return home and to their families feeling enriched and connected to community, while families and guardians can rely on quality care, respite and advocacy for their loved ones.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO ATTEND?
GCDN welcomes all individuals to join the day program. Our intake appointment is established in order to develop a personalized, in-depth program for each individual requiring our services and support.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Final pricing will be determined by your GCDN advisor, following the initial interview. Pricing is based on a minimum of 4 hours of service, with an hourly rate between $38.50 and $45.50. This rate is based on each individual participant and their needs.
Pricing may vary based on transportation requirements.
HEALTH AND SAFETY CONCERNS
All medications are stored safely in a fridge or a locked cabinet respectively, and will be administered as needed or when scheduled.
DO I NEED TO INTERVIEW? HOW CAN WE ENROL AND ATTEND?
GCDN will conduct an intake interview all potential participants before being accepted into the Day Program. Once the interview stage is complete, eligible individuals will be invited to the program, with a customized plan for their transition into the community services and scheduling.
